Abstract— Along with the development of communication technology and information system, there are more and more made
SMS-based academic information system. The chosen communication technology in the form of SMS is because it is more practical, inexpensive, and efficient to convey information. Short Message Service (SMS) is a technology that is very much in demand and used by many people. Besides being superior in terms of practicality and ease of use, this technology also comes at a relatively cheaper rate for messaging data delivery or information transfer in small capacitistas compared to voice service . The SMS based elementary school information system is designed with the purpose and has function as an information provider of attendance and student activities in the school to parents to be easier and more efficient through SMS. Parents do not have to bother to come to school only to know the activities and attendance of students.
